- The Kusaki-Zome series from Studio D'artisan makes use of natural plant dyes. This installment is garment-dyed using a dye mixture of genuine sumi ink to yield a charcoal grey color. With a long history of use in Japan, sumi ink is the ink of choice for many fine artists thanks to its rich black color and thick texture. . Reactive to sunlight, the dye will continue to transform producing a unique garment overtime. Studio D'artisan's western shirt features classic western paneling, chainstitch construction, and a snap button placket. Cut in a regular fit, the shirt has undergone a one-wash rinse process to remove shrinkage and soften the fabric.
