• The MMGJ0202 is Momotaro’s Type-II jacket, updated with a modern relaxed silhouette and sewn using a special edition 15oz silk selvedge denim. Woven in Japan using a Zimbabwe cotton and silk blend, the fabric combines raw denim structure with a uniquely soft hand feel. Silk yarns are used in the weft, giving the fabric a smooth, sleek finish reminiscent of silk sleepwear, while retaining the stiffness of raw denim. Finished with custom Momotaro hardware and signature detailing.

• Momotaro is the denim-focused line of the Japan Blue Group, based in Kojima, Okayama — Japan’s denim capital. With full control over every stage of development from fabric weaving to construction, Momotaro is known for producing jeans and garments with uncompromising attention to detail. The name comes from a famous Japanese folktale, in which a boy born from a peach defends his village from demons. Signature elements like the pink selvedge and “battle stripes” pay homage to this story and have become iconic in the world of Japanese denim.
