  • Forged in Okayama, ONI DENIM's acclaimed Kiwami Series combines the brand's shuttle loom expertise with traditional dye methods to yield a denim that the brand's founder believes cannot be replicated anywhere else in the world. Using natural indigo in a kase dye technique, the fabric's irregular slub yarn takes a variety of shades, from near-black indigo to soft natural blue. This installment of the Kiwami applies a beige overdye to the weft, resulting in a soft earth undertone throughout and a contrast when cuffed. This unsanforized fabric has undergone a tempi treatment, which removes shrinkage and gives the denim a rough, textured feel.
