• The "Catechu" denim from Naked & Famous is lightweight Japanese Selvedge denim woven on vintage shuttle looms using short slub cotton, resulting in a textured denim with emphasized vertical fading. The warp of the jeans is dyed indigo, while the weft uses a natural catechu dye. Wood from the Acacia tree is boiled and evaporated to create this warm earthy dye, which can be seen peaking through the twill weave. Sanforized to remove shrinkage, the jeans maintain a rigid feel that will yield a soft touch after break in. Cut, sewn and built in North America, the jeans are fitted with contrast stitching, suede leather patch, and custom gunmetal buttons and rivets.
