• The "Red Gradient Core" denim is unique Japanese Selvedge denim woven on vintage shuttle looms exclusively for Naked & Famous. Unlike standard denim yarns which start off white and are then dyed indigo, the denim uses yarn dyed first with a permanent reactive red dye, then rope dyed indigo. This creates a yarn that is indigo on the outside, but will fade to red with wear. Furthermore, the core yarns were dyed with several shades of red to create a gradient tone once faded. Sanforized to remove shrinkage, the jeans maintain a rigid feel that will yield a soft touch after break in. Cut, sewn and built in North America, the jeans are fitted with contrast stitching, burgundy pull-up leather patch, and custom gunmetal buttons and rivets.
