We are thrilled to announce our latest collaboration with Oak Street Bootmakers, the "Commando Trench Boot" in Black Waxed Flesh. This super limited collaboration marks our second design with Oak Street, and is made using the waxed flesh chromexcel leather from the Horween Leather Tannery of Chicago, IL. The boots are also fitted with a super thick Commando rubber sole that provides tremendous grip and durability for the wet and cold weather ahead.

The waxed flesh chromexcel from Horween Leather is a unique spin on the standard rough-out leather style. The boots are made using the rough side of the leather, which has been heavily oiled and waxed to achieve a unique mixture of glossy and matte textures. The waxed finish also makes the boots remarkably water resistant, a must-have for the fall and winter months.

The boots are fitted with super thick Commando soles, which were designed after the classic World War II service boot silhouette. This thick rubber sole provides even more grip and durability in harsh weather, and gives the boots a much heavier and weighted feel.

Limited to 24 pairs, this exclusive "Commando Trench Boot" from Oak Street Bootmakers was made on the brand's signature Elston Last, which master cobbler George Vlagos spent 5 years developing. The last shapes a more contemporary workboot silhouette than many of the military-inspired workboots on the market today, while still maintaining the iconic heritage details.

Lastly, the boots are finished with two brass speedhooks, a first for Oak Street Bootmakers, atop their signature 6 eyelet design. The leather laces can be hooked around these clasps for easier and faster lacing, or tied around the back of the boots instead.
