Blue Owl is proud to introduce Sassafras to its growing brand roster.
Taking root in 2004, the Kyoto-based clothing label references classic militaria and workwear patterns and replants them into gardener-approved pieces. Cargo pants are modified to comfortably fit pruning shears and trowels, while overshirts are sewn with side loops and dropped pockets, carefully considered to hold long stems and flower cuttings.
Regarding the brand's fabric choices, durability is paramount. Heavy military satins and densely woven selvedge denim are called upon every season, ensuring all garments perform as well as they look. Over-engineered waistbands, bartacks at stress points, and triple-needle stitching not only reinforce the garment itself, but also the label's commitment to long-lasting products.
Sassafras features high quality fabrics with relaxed silhouettes and a utilitarian design. This versatile formula allows the wearer to find functionality beyond the garden, ultimately embodying the brand's inclusive "For All Gardeners" ethos.
