Dyed with pure indigo, the denim features natural nep yarns for a distinct raised surface texture reminiscent of 1940s deadstock fabrics. The 1P Jacket references vintage Type-1 patterns, cut in a contemporary relaxed fit. Complete with custom hardware and deerskin leather patch.

Kaptain Sunshine is the work of Shinsuke Kojima, a Tokyo-based designer who spent a decade sharpening his eye as the founding editor of Japan’s fashion magazine Huge. Launched in 2013, the brand reflects Kojima’s lifelong love for vintage Americana and the outdoors – reimagined through a Japanese lens. Each garment is crafted in Japan using original fabrics and cut in the relaxed, comfortable silhouettes Kojima himself likes to wear.
