Similarly, these jeans take on a midnight-black appearance that gradually transforms to blue with wear. Samurai utilizes a layered dye structure to achieve the fabric’s tonal depth. The warp yarns are first rope-dyed indigo, then overdyed with black sulfide, creating a black surface that chips and fades back to indigo over time. Woven with sulfur-black yarns at the weft, the denim promises a high-contrast, dynamic patina with wear.
