Momotaro introduces the 1402 denim, blending two natural dyeing techniques on the brand’s signature organic Zimbabwe cotton selvedge. The fabric is first dyed using traditional Japanese Dorozome (mud dye), then overdyed with natural Indian indigo—resulting in a richly layered, rustic blue tone that showcases the depth and character of both methods. Made from Momotaro’s prized Zimbabwe cotton selvedge, the jeans feature all of the brand’s hallmark construction details. The process includes multiple Dorozome dips to build a deep gray-brown base, followed by an indigo overdye for added contrast and saturation. Finished with custom hardware and a black “old-style” Peach Boy leather patch.
