• Samurai’s Vintage Series pays homage to midcentury workwear, receiving inspiration from denim worn throughout the late 1940s and 1950s. This denim comes woven on vintage Toyoda GL3 looms using Samurai's homegrown "cotton project" yarns at the weft and short staple Texas cotton yarns at the warp. The use of short staple cotton yarns gives the denim a variegated low-tension weave that mimics early postwar jeans. Samurai dyes the yarns a period correct vintage blue. Finished with details referencing the brand's traditional warrior ethos.
