  • Inspired by "hikeshi banten" or traditional Japanese firefighter uniforms, Japan Blue's 11oz sashiko fabric is woven using sashiko threads on a robust cotton base. Dyed with rope indigo for a deep color, the fabric's texture intensifies with continued wear, revealing a spectrum of indigo-blues over time. Japan Blue's Coverall design pulls from traditional workwear complete with a four pocket design at the front, metal button placket, and pointed collar.

  • Japan Blue Jeans is a sub-division of the Japan Blue Group, which was born in Japan’s denim mecca, Kojima. Japan Blue Group consists of four distinct divisions: the denim/fabric house, Collect Co., the dye house, Rampuya, and lastly, the Momotaro and Japan Blue brands. As part of the Japan Blue Group, Japan Blue Jeans has full control over the process behind their products, from conception, to fabric, to dying, to manufacturing, giving the brand an unparalleled amount of creative freedom. The brand has gained notoriety for their collaboration pieces that often push the boundaries of what raw denim is today.
Founded in 2010, as part of the larger Japan Blue Group, Japan Blue Jeans has full control over the process behind their products from to fabric, to dying, to manufacturing, giving the brand an unparalleled amount of creative freedom. From inception Japan Blue has focused on creating the best basic five pocket jean. By eliminating extravagant design they hope that people will be able to enjoy the material they have created and the fading of jeans as a pleasure of daily life.
