• Studio D'artisan's Sashiko jeans are sewn using a heavyweight 17oz Bushu sashiko fabric woven on old shuttle looms, traditionally used in Japanese martial arts uniforms. This iteration is part of a limited series of garments dyed on the island of Amami Ōshima using the traditional Japanese dorozome (mud-dye) technique. A centuries-old method, it combines vegetable tannins with iron-rich mud to produce earthy tones unique to each piece. This specific dye and fabric combination results in a structured feel that promises to soften and patina with wear over time. The pants are cut in a regular straight silhouette and detailed with a corozo nut button fly, copper rivets, and a custom branded leather patch.
