• A manifestation of the brand’s rich cultural heritage, this Type-2 jacket features a combination of Awa Shoai indigo and kakishibu persimmon dyes. The Awa Shoai dyeing method dates back to the Edo period and utilizes a region-specific indigo fermentation process. Awa dye yields a complex spectrum of blues, ranging from deep sapphire to soft indigo. Woven with kakishibu-dyed slub yarns at the weft, the denim displays a varied surface texture that highlights the interplay between these two complementary colors. Cut in a modified Type-2 silhouette, the jacket features two large chest pockets, custom hardware, and special-edition leather patch. The finished garment is rinsed to minimize shrinkage.
