• Replicating the American Traditional look that helped inspire Japan’s denim revival movement, Studio D’Artisan draws from 1950s denim to create a period-correct denim with an authentically vintage look and feel. Influenced by 1950s rebel culture, this model is made from 12.5oz Japanese selvedge denim and carefully hand-distressed to resemble a well-worn pair of jeans. The fabric is woven on original 1950s G3 shuttle looms, producing a distinctive texture that cannot be replicated through modern manufacturing methods. Studio D’Artisan’s Regular Straight is the brand’s traditional straight-leg fit, cut with a medium rise and slight taper from the knee down. Due to the cut and washing process, leg twist is standard on these jeans.
