  • Founded by Masahiro Shimura in 1991, Pherrow's began as a near-faithful reproduction brand focused on American vintage clothing. As a pioneer in the Japanese "Ametora" (American Traditional) movement, the brand has since evolved to blend whimsical Japanese reinterpretation with classic Americana. While rooted in heritage, Pherrow's strives to create garments beyond simple replication—favoring originality and personal expression over conformity.
With roots in the reproduction of timeless American styles, founder Masahiro Shimura established Pherrow's in the early '90s as a pioneer in the "Ametora" scene. Since 1991 Pherrow's has transformed, keeping their soul in classic Japanese-Americana, but not limiting themselves to the conformity of carbon-copy reproduction. Further expanding their collection to include vintage-inspired graphics, shirting, and fabrics, Pherrow's still continues to make iconic Ivy-league and workwear-inspired silhouettes more than 25 years later.
