• This limited release from Momotaro was designed in partnership with Kyoto Montsuki, a 100-year-old Japanese dye house specializing in black Japanese ceremonial wear. The 15oz selvedge denim has undergone a laborious process of repeated dyeing and sun drying called "Shinkuro", resulting in a profound black color and a smooth, soft surface. Finished with custom Momotaro hardware, hidden coin pocket selvedge, and cowhide leather patch.

• Momotaro is the primary denim manufacturing arm of the Japan Blue Group, based in Japan’s denim capital of Kojima. As part of the group, Momotaro has full control over every aspect of production—from sourcing and dyeing to weaving and sewing—offering unmatched creative freedom. The name comes from a classic Japanese folktale in which a boy born from a giant peach defeats demons to protect his village. The brand’s pink selvedge and inseam stitching reference the peach, while the signature “battle stripes” pay tribute to the warrior spirit of the story.
