• The Zetto Benkei denim from Tanuki is a follow-up to the brand's popular Zetto fabric renown for it's low-tension weave and irregular-slub surface texture. This iteration features a dark beige weft, offering a warm tinted tone to the fabric. Produced through a painstakingly slow weave, up until a few years ago three shuttle looms had the capability to manufacture the fabric. However, now two of them have fallen into disrepair, leaving only a single loom in the world that can weave the denim. Pre-washed for a softer feel and to eliminate shrinkage.

  • Tanuki's High Tapered fit has a high rise with a roomy top block and a strong taper through the leg
  • "Ni" (二) logo stitching at back pocket - the Japanese character for the number two and a symbol representing tradition and change
