Our tenth collaboration with Momotaro coincided with the brand’s tenth anniversary. To celebrate, we released the first black selvedge Momotaro had produced, complete with tonal black Battle Stripes, inseam, and hardware. The fabric has since become a permanent part of the brand’s lineup, and is considered one of the best-fading black denims on the market. This characteristic is evident in Josh Lightner’s pair, worn for 2 years and washed over 5 times. While subtle, one can still see how the tonal Battle Stripes have chipped and faded with wear, along with several repairs.
