  • At the pinnacle of the John Lofgren Bootmaker lineup, the Engineer Boot stands as a meticulous reproduction of various vintage engineer boots, crafted entirely in Japan. Defined by a calf-length shaft and woodsman heel cap, these boots pay homage to classic work boots with a range of carefully incorporated details showcasing Lofgren's expert craftsmanship. The boots construction incorporates Goodyear welt construction using USA made storm welts, and come anchored with a vibram 705 half soles and 700 heels.

This special edition boot is built from horsebutt leather from the renowned Shinki Hikaku tannery in Japan. Distinguished as experts in horsehide tanning, Shinki horsebutt is widely regarded as some of the finest in the world. Tanned to preserve the natural character and grain of the hide, the leather features a teacore finish and slight initial stiffness that will conform to the foot with wear over time.
