• A manifestation of the brand’s rich cultural heritage, this special denim from Studio D’Artisan’s features a combination of Awa Shoai natural indigo and kakishibu persimmon dyes. The Awa Shoai dyeing method originates from the Edo Period and utilizes an indigo fermentation process that produces a complex spectrum of blues, ranging from sapphire to light indigo. Woven with kakishibu-dyed slub yarns at the weft, the denim showcases a varied surface texture that highlights the interplay between the two complementary colors. Each pair is finished with a thick cowhide leather patch featuring custom embossing and Studio D’Artisan-branded hardware.
