• This special edition from Pure Blue Japan highlights the brand’s signature Extra Slub Series with a unique kakishibu-dyed weft. Crafted in small batches, the fabric combines a sulfur-dyed black warp with an amber-brown weft dyed using fermented persimmon tannins. The result is a denim that evolves beautifully with wear, enhancing the texture and contrast of the ultra-slubby yarns. As with other styles in PBJ's catalog, this fabric is woven on an old-world shuttle loom using a specialized slow weaving technique to produce the unique texture the brand is renowned for. Finished with custom nickel hardware, a natural deerskin leather patch, and the brand’s iconic indigofera leaf embroidery.
