• Woven on original Toyoda GL3 power looms from the early 1950's, Studio D'artisan's 15oz slub fabric captures the essence of vintage workwear. While the loom can only weave 5 meters of fabric per hour, it creates a unique and uneven roughness which cannot be replicated throughou modern production methods. Using thick rope-like cotton yarns, SDA repeatedly dip-dyes the yarn in indigo to achieve the darkest possible color. The denim has been given a one-wash rinse treatment to eliminate shrinkage, leaving them ready to be worn right away, no soaking required.
